12/18/2020 · NEWTOWN, Conn. — The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturing Institute, Inc. ® (SAAMI ®) reminds manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, and retailers they must discontinue the use of ORM-D labeling for shipping sporting ammunitions via surface transport after Dec. 31, 2020.

Classification: ORM-D Classification: The hazard class ORM-D is scheduled for elimination, effective December 31, 2020. Such materials are likely eligible to be shipped under Limited Quantity provisions, which, for Ground service level packages, may be moved by highway and rail without shipping papers.
12/21/2020 · Re: ORM-D shipping label to be discontinued on 12/31/2020 I could never remember it all and every year or so something changes so I would just ask the supervisor. Some HAZMATS have to be minimum distances from others on the vehicle.
